Teams will sign up for a 15 minute session for Judge interviews. This chat message is their ticket for next in line. When a team is ready, they send a chat in the videoconference. It is critical for teams to use their time wisely in resetting the field and preparing for the next match. Teams will have an average of 10 minutes between attempts. A new skills attempt will cycle about every 2 minutes 30 seconds. Four teams and 6 attempts per team adds up to a total of 24 minutes. If done well, all four teams will complete 3 driver and 3 programming attempts in one hour. While one team is doing their skills attempt, and the other 3 teams are either having their previous attempt scored or getting ready for their next skills attempt. Sharing the same one-hour block only works when all teams practice good time management. It takes too long to reset and for the next team to get setup for an attempt when sharing a field. If multiple teams are sharing the same competition field, they must sign up for separate hour-long sessions. A link to sign up will be posted sent to the team’s primary contact when registration for the event closes. Teams sign up to schedule a one-hour time block using a google sheet. Skills sessions will be livestreamed on the VEX Minnesota You Tube Channel: Teams must efficiently use their time to complete inspection and all the skills attempts during the one-hour time. The referee will give a countdown and the match will start. Once on the livestream there shouldn't be any time spent on adjusting the robot or the game objects. When a team is ready, they will be switched to the livestream. With four teams in the one-hour session, a team will indicate they are ready for an attempt when their field is reset, and their robot is ready to start. The 1-hour session begins with robot inspection, followed by three driver skills attempts and 3 programming skills attempts. Session signup is first come first serve. ![]() Sessions start at 8:00 AM and the last session will begin at 4:00 PM. Teams will need to sign up for a 1-hour session using google sheets. When registration closes, teams will receive an email with detailed information about the event. The rest of the day is yours to do as you wish. Each team will also have a 10 minute Judge Interview. In this Remote Live Event teams compete in programming and driver skills via a live video feeds from remote locations.
